Are you looking for better ways in styling the oversized blazer trend? One key to pulling together this trend is balance.
Below are three looks (with shoppable links and widgets) using the cabi Dinner Jacket, designed to be gently oversized. I’ll show you how to style the oversized blazer trend without looking trendy.
Look 1: Styled with Boyfriends
Shown here, I’m wearing the cabi 100% Boyfriend and there will be no breaking up with this one.
The relaxed fit is loose through the thighs with a straight leg and creates volume. To balance with the blazer, pair back with a fitted or form-fitting top.
I put a bootie with this outfit with street style inspo.
For some added height (if you need it), keep the jean leg uncuffed. It creates the illusion of long legs. If you already have long legs, then it creates the illusion of longer legs.
Look 2: Skinny Jeans
Skinny jeans create a skinny fit through hips and thighs while tapering at the ankle. To create balance when pairing with the oversized blazer, you can either go fitted or a blouse-look as shown here.
Leopard will have its moment again this season and you’ll see this print in shoes, belts, bags……here are some things at Neiman Marcus, leopard print shoes at Nordstrom and Saks…you’ll see some really cool things on sale!!
Look 3: Shorts…Yes, Shorts 😉
One of the summer’s hottest trends is styling shorts with the oversized blazer. Considering 90+ degrees is still short-wearing weather, the blazer can elevate a t-shirt and shorts outfit.
In the name of balance, I put a lug sole shoe with the elevated look. You can even put a fun, fashion tennie or flatform or wedge.
